We build decking, install fence panels and posts, and carry out garden joinery across London. The parts you will never see — post depth and setting, joist spacing, ventilation under the boards, membrane and drainage, and the fixings we use — are where the job is actually decided.
Above ground, the finish matters too: consistent board gaps, edges and steps detailed properly, and fixings set in a straight line rather than wandering. Small things, but they are what makes a garden look built rather than assembled.

Timber or composite decking?
Composite costs more up front and needs almost no maintenance; timber costs less and needs cleaning and re-treating periodically. Both need the same quality of sub-frame underneath, which is where the longevity actually comes from.
Do I need planning permission for a fence?
Generally not, if it is under 2 metres, or under 1 metre where it adjoins a road or footpath. Listed buildings and conservation areas have additional rules. It is worth checking with your borough before work starts, and we will flag it if your situation looks like one that needs it.
How long does decking last?
A well-built timber deck with a sound, ventilated sub-frame and treated posts should give 15 years or more with periodic maintenance. Composite boards on the same sub-frame will typically outlast that.
Can you build on a sloping garden?
Yes. Sloping ground is handled with a stepped or levelled sub-frame, and it is very common in London gardens. It affects the price, and we will price it accurately rather than discovering it on day one.
Who disposes of the old decking or fencing?
We do, and it is included in the quote unless you would rather handle it yourself.
