Wallpaper is unforgiving. A seam that is a millimetre out, a pattern that drifts across a chimney breast, or a bubble that appears a week later as the paste dries — all of it comes back to preparation and patience rather than the paper itself.
We hang everything from standard printed papers to hand-finished, wide-width and textured grades, including the ones that cannot be scrubbed, over-pasted or repositioned once they touch the wall. Before any of that, the wall gets sized or lined so the paper adheres evenly and can be removed cleanly years from now without destroying the plaster.
For feature walls we take particular care with where the pattern lands. Centring a repeat on a chimney breast, keeping the drop consistent around a bay, and planning the least visible place to end a run are the decisions that make a papered room look considered rather than merely papered.

Do I need my walls lined first?
Not always. If the plaster is sound, smooth and previously papered it is often unnecessary. Older walls, patched plaster, or dark walls being papered in a pale or thin paper usually benefit from cross-lining — it costs a little more and it is the difference between a flat finish and one where every imperfection reads through.
How much wallpaper should I order?
Tell us the room and the paper you are considering and we will calculate the drops and give you a roll count with sensible allowance for the pattern repeat. Ordering all rolls from the same batch matters more than people expect, as shade varies between batches.
Can you hang wallpaper I have already bought?
Yes, that is the usual arrangement. We will check the roll count and batch numbers before we start rather than discovering a shortfall on the last wall.
Can you remove old wallpaper?
Yes, including layers that have been painted over. We strip it, assess the plaster underneath and make good before anything new goes on.
How long does a feature wall take?
A single feature wall is typically a day, including preparation. A full room depends on the pattern repeat, the height and how many obstacles there are — a plain paper in a square room is far quicker than a large repeat in a room with a bay and a chimney breast.
